🌱 Job Offer – Packaging and Order Preparation Assistant

📍 Location: Montreal

📆 Duration: Temporary contract until the end of May 2025

🕒 Schedule: 15 hours per week, over 2 to 3 days, depending on availability

Akène – Native Seeds

Akène is a Quebec-based company specialising in the production, collection, and distribution of seeds of native plant. Everything we do aims to support local biodiversity and make seeds that are adapted to our ecosystems more accessible to individuals, municipalities, and ecological restoration stakeholders.

What we are looking for

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and efficient person to support us during a busy order period. This is a temporary contract running through the end of May, with potential with the possibility of taking on various tasks depending on the team’s needs.

Main tasks

• Filling and labelling seed packets

• Preparing customer orders

• Verifying quantities and assembling bundles

• Keeping the workshop organised

Depending on needs, the person may also be asked to assist with other tasks related to production and planning for the 2025 season.

Desired profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay focused

• Comfortable with manual tasks, whether sitting or standing

• Punctual, autonomous, good communication skills

• Interest in native plants, seeds, or ecological impact projects: a strong asset 🌿

Conditions

• Contract until May 31, 2025

• Approximately 15 hours per week, flexible schedule to be discussed

• In-person work in Montreal

• Compensation based on experience
