We are pleased to introduce the products of Gourmet Sauvage, a Quebec-based company that has been a pioneer in showcasing the plants and flavours of the boreal forest. For over 25 years, it has been offering exceptional wild products, harvested responsibly by hand and crafted with artisanal expertise. Their unique creations allow for the rediscovery of Quebec’s rich terroir through a sustainable and authentic approach.

Haskap berry jam

The haskap berry is a small oval fruit often compared to an elongated blueberry. It is an emerging northern berry that gains new enthusiasts every year. Its flavour is reminiscent of blackcurrant, plum, and sometimes rhubarb. With its low sweetness and slight tartness, haskap jam is perfect for breakfast but also pairs beautifully with a wide variety of savoury dishes, which it gently enhances.

Ingredients

  • haskap berries
  • organic sugar
  • fruit pectin
  • citric acid

Haskap berry jam, a true classic!

In the few years that they have been marketed, haskap berries have enjoyed a growing popularity. Its flavour, strangely familiar yet different from other northern berries, is such that tasting is believing. Full of vitamins and bursting with antioxidants, there’s no reason not to indulge.

Gourmet Sauvage would like you to discover this wonderful fruit in the simplest of ways. Their artisanal jam is hand-cooked with a minimum of sugar, letting you appreciate the fruit in all its splendour.

Enjoying haskap berry jam

Haskap berry jam is lightly sweetened, and the fruit’s natural tartness brightens everything from morning toast to cheese platters and sauces that accompany meat dishes. Try it in a vinaigrette, as a complement to pork skewers, with yogurt, or on buttery shortbread cookies.
